1. Phase of information and qutation

You get to know LGA InterCert and its services.

We prepare an individual cost estimate with transparent, mandatory specifications for the entire term of the certificate.

We can also conduct a preliminary discussion at the company if required or desired.

2. Assessment of documentation

Before the actual certification audit, we will check the QM/EM documentation for completness and official agreement with the requirements of ISO 9001/ISO 14001.

The company will be advised of the outcome of the documentation inspection before the audit takes place at the company. There is the opportunity to make any necessary revisions and/or additions.

We can conduct a preliminary audit at the company if desired. For certification based on ISO 14001, a preliminary audit is usually mandatory.

3. Certification audit at the Company

The certification audit is done in order to check on the implementation and effectiveness of the QM or EM System that has been put in place on site within the company.

The various details, timing and duration of the audit will be discussed with the company ahead of time.

If the company has several locations, it is usually possible to conduct a certification audit only at specific selected locations. We will be glad to provide more information regarding the particular conditions and details for the method if so requested.

We normally conduct the on site certification audit with the assistance of several technical experts. This would be discussed and agreed with the company prior to the audit.

The company will receive a written report from us regarding the outcome of the audit and the findings, as well as suggestions for improvement with regard to the QM/EM Systems.

Following a positive conclusion of the auditing procedure, the certification documents will be processed. These documents are valid for a period of three years and can, of course, be renewed.

4. Annual surveillance audits

It is mandatory the we conduct a follow-up audit (surveillance audit) at the company on an annual basis. Only certain areas of the implemented QM/EM System will be inspecteed during this follow-up audit. The goal is to check for adherence to the quality and environmental management systems with regard to their effectivness and continuous improvement.

5. Re-Certification

After expiration of the issued audit certificates, a re-audit will be carried out, which will be conducted according to the steps listed under item 3.
